  Denim Works Internet Shopping Policy/FAQ

Our Commitment to Quality

All of us at here at Denim Works are committed to providing the highest level of service and satisfaction to our customers. Should you have any suggestions for improving our web site or our service please contact shop@denimworks.co.uk . Your feedback is essential to ensure continued improvement in the service we provide to you, so please do pass on your comments and concerns or any ideas you feel would help to improve our web site further.

Ordering & Internet Security

It is very easy to order goods from this Denim Works web site and it offers you secure online transactions methods.

Secure online payments Verified by Visa MasterCard SecureCode

Simply select the items you want to purchase, add it to the "shopping basket" then go to the "checkout" section and pay by using your credit or debit card such as MasterCard, Visa, Delta, Maestro, Electron, or Solo.

Internet shopping is safe with Denim Works because we use the latest "industry standard" encryption technology to protect your personal information such as your credit card and name & address details.

If you wish to check that your connection to the Internet is using this technology called Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), simply right click your mouse when on the ordering/payments pages and chose "properties" from the drop-down menu to check.

If you are unhappy about credit card payment via the Internet, you can E-mail or post your order to us together with your credit card details so that we will be able to carry out a manual transaction on your behalf. You should be aware that in our opinion this method of payment is less safe than using our secure server system. We are therefore not able to accept responsibility for any problems or losses that may result.

All prices on our web site are shown in UK Pounds Sterling, inclusive of VAT, but do not include postage and packing charges.

Payment Methods

The normal and preferred payment method via Internet is by credit/debit card such as MasterCard, Visa, Delta, Maestro, Electron, or Solo.

Accepted credit and debit cards

If you do not have a credit card or a card of the type listed you may also pay by cheque. To do this you will need to post your order to us together with a cheque payable to: Denim Works. If you print the order form you will have the correct amount including the shipping charges.

Please note that non-standard payment methods will result in longer delivery times especially where payment is made by cheque. Our bank must clear all cheques before the order is finally accepted. There is a greater opportunity for error with non-standard payment methods and this may result in further delay.

Checkout

Prior to purchasing any goods you have the opportunity to review your order and make any changes you desire. When you are happy that your order details are correct, simply click on the "Secure Checkout" button, then you will be asked to supply your credit or debit card details along with your delivery address.

If your delivery address does not match your cardholder billing address, we will need to conduct additional security checks which may delay despatch of your order slightly. We certainly do accept orders where the delivery address is different to that of the cardholder if for example, where you have requested despatch to your workplace or office, place of further education, a neighbour, or as a gift, but you may be subjected to additional security verification. We may need to contact you directly by telephone or e-mail and ask you to supply additional verification, or we may even send a copy of the receipt to the cardholder address requesting them to contact us prior to despatching the goods. In any event, any extra processing will be dealt with in a timely manner and is designed to protect your security and ours and enhance your internet shopping experience.

Once you complete these details, any postage and packing charges will be automatically calculated and added to the total cost of the goods. Next, you will be shown your final order details and the total price. You can then review the information and complete the transaction by clicking on the "Submit" button which will finalize your order with us.

You will then receive confirmation of your order with us and a receipt by E-mail, both of which will quote a reference number against each purchase transaction. You will need to quote this reference number to one of our customer service representatives if you have any problems whatsoever with your purchase from Denim Works.

Please be advised that all orders accepted by Denim Works are subject to authorization of your chosen credit/debit card.

Returns Policy

You can shop with complete confidence because you have the right to cancel your order within 7 days of receiving the goods without giving a reason and a full refund will be made. This is our irrevocable guarantee to you and all goods sold by us are covered by this full money-back guarantee.

In addition, it is the policy of Denim Works, that for a further 14 days you may return the goods if they are found to be unsatisfactory due to either being faulty, having arrived damaged, or being incorrectly supplied. Denim Works will make a full refund or replace the goods. You must also please ensure that the goods are returned to us within 21 days of receipt, using a recorded delivery service (we suggest obtaining a free "Proof of Posting Certificate" from the Post Office), at your cost. The goods must be returned to us in an unused condition, with their original labels still attached and in their original packaging within 21 days of receipt. If the original labels are not intact and in place on the goods as supplied we are unable to make a refund of any description. Please allow up to 30 days from us receiving any returned goods to process your returns. Any free goods or promotional items we may have supplied as part of the product purchase must be returned together with the product, otherwise we may deduct the full list price of the missing items from any refund. Refunds will be made to the same credit card as you used to make your purchase.

Alternatively, if you simply decide that you do not want the goods for any reason, then postage and packaging costs are your responsibility, as we will only offer a refund against the actual cost of the goods we supplied. We can only despatch the size you chose at the "checkout" so it's your responsibilty to ensure the size you have selected is correct. Again, you must please ensure that the goods are returned unworn and with the original labels still in place.

If you feel that you do need to return something to us, please telephone us on 01202 311660 during opening hours, or simply E-mail us at shop@denimworks.co.uk where you will be able to contact someone who can give you assistance.

This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

The address to send returned goods is:

Denim Works
5 Richmond Hill
Bournemouth
Dorset BH2 6HE
UK

Proof of postage for any returns made is essential as we are not compensated for any packages lost or damaged in transit. If any goods you return to us are lost or damaged in transit it will be your responsibility to claim for compensation from the carrier you use.

Stocks

We do hold large stocks of all the leading brands of denim shown on this web site which we aim to despatch within 24 hours of receiving your order. Sizes, colours and availability of individual items is indicated in the "Shopping Basket" when you make your selection and we do not advertise goods that are not held by us in stock, or is on "back order" from the manufacturers. This ensures you, our valued customer, that you are making a purchase at a highly competitive price and your order will receive prompt despatch from our stocks. In other words, all styles, colours and sizes indicated on our web site shopping basket are actually held in stock at our premises and are therefore available for despatch against your order.

Having promised you that however, there may be very occasional instances (and we mean exactly that!) whereby the volume of orders we have received for specific items has temporarily overtaken our stockholding. This is normally rectified within a couple of working days. However, if this situation occurs with any of the goods you require, we will contact you right away and ask you to please allow between 7 and 10 working days for despatch of any such items effected, also to discuss any alternative options. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
